UNIT 4: WHEN’S YOUR BIRTHDAY?
Lesson 1: part 1-2-3
I. Objectives:
After the lesson, students are able to:
- Asking questions about dates. Respond to the questions.
- Develop: Speaking, listening skills.
- Ss look after, solve problems and study themselves.
- Studious and obedient students and love their friends.
II. Language contents:
- Vocabulary: date, ordinal numbers
- Sentence patterns: What is the date today?- It’s .....
III. Teaching aids:
1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette.
2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks.
IV. Procedures
1. Class organization:- Greeting
- Checking for the students' attendance.
2. Oral test: Have pupils asking and answering about their weekly activities.

Warm up: Sing a song Happy birthday. 1. Look, listen and repeat. - Ask Ss to open their books on P.22 - Ask: Who are they? Where are they? - Have ss listen to the tape first. - Teach the word “ date” and “the second of October” - Play tape again and ask Ss to repeat each line of the dialogue. - Divide the class into two groups to play roles. - Have ss practice in pairs. - Call some pairs to read aloud. 2.
