I learn many subjects in school. But the one I enjoy learning is History.
History tells us how people lived ages ago. It also tells us how men had to struggle to make the world a better place to live. Many pupils, however, do not like to read History. They say that there are too many names and dates to remember. But they do not understand that if we do not know about the past, we can not understand the present properly. In fact, only a study of History will make us realize that everything we do today is the result of what our grandfathers and others before them did in the past. So, History is the long story, we learn many interesting things.
I love history so much that i have a lot of history books in my house. Some day, i might even write a history book myself.
I am studying in Thang Long high school. It is 3 kilometers from my house so I usually cycle to school and sometimes I take bus. Thang Long high school was built in 1946 right after Viet Nam declared independence. And so, my school has a long lasting history with many achievements. Located in Phan Dinh Phung street, a beautiful street in Ha Noi, my school is famous for not only its architecture beauty, but also for its high quality of teaching. Lots of successful people used to study in my school and when attending national competitions, we always stay in high ranks. Moreover, teachers here are very friendly and helpful. They always try to support students as much as possible. Students here are very intelligent, hard-working and outgoing. Besides, studying in Thang Long high school, I can join many extra-curricular activities such singing contest, festival, knowledge competition,…As a result, I can improve my soft skills and have fun, unforgettable memory here. Studying here may be one luck to me. And of course, I love Thang Long high school a lot.
