Every country has its own culture and traditions. There is doubt that holidays are celebrated differently around the world. Take New Year Eve as an example. Both New Year in Vietnam and in the UK is greatly celebrated. However, they have identical differences. First, New Year in Vietnam is called Tet holiday, which occurs on the first day of the lunar calendar whereas in the UK people choose the first day of a year to celebrate it. Second, In VietNam people spend this holiday gathering with their families while people in the UK choose to travel to beautiful scenes in the world. What's more, in some regions in the UK, people celebrate Christmas and New Year on the same day in order to have more fun and luck. In short, those are among the similarites and differences between Vietnamese holidays and The UK ones. However different they are, both of them should be respected and kept alive by people of the two countries.
