There are some advantages and disadvantages of homework.

First, it helps children develop time management skill. Schedules must be organized to ensure that all tasks can be completed during the day. This creates independent thinking and develops problem-solving skills. Second, homework encourages the discipline of practice. By having homework completed every night, the lesson become easier to understand. Last, homework creates a communication network. It helps teachers understand the needs of their students better and allows parents to find out their child’s strengths and weaknesses. Together, an educational plan can be developed that encourages the best possible learning environment.

Beside the advantages, homework also has some disadvantages. First, homework eats up free time. It eats up the valuable time kids have to spend with their family, attend extracurricular activities and catch up with friends. Second, it discourages creative endeavors. For example, homework takes time away from learning an instrument, painting, or developing photography skills as well. Last, excess homework causes children to feel ‘burnt out'.  In some cases, homework may even be assigned in the summer holidays. This causes severe stress for some children.

He asserts that homework will never help children learn more and improve. Homework only makes them less likely to play with their family, less time to relax or develop other skills like sports and music.
Through his research shows that forcing children to do too much exercise not only harms children's health but also affects family life. Mental stress, tired of having to sit continuously for hours to do homework, even if they have to stay up late to revise, so there is no time to exercise or play sports, the child will be tired, study depressed. As for parents, instead of letting them talk and talk happily with them, or take them out to play at ease, they have to teach their children to study and do homework.
However, many teachers have said that children also need homework to do. But how much homework is enough for them to review their learning and still have time for them to have fun with
