America's Got Talent is a televised competition and is part of global Got Talent created by Simon Cowell. It first premiered on June 21, 2005. Until now, it has been 14 seasons. Each season is mainly run during the network's summer schedule. The competition includes 3 rounds: the auditions, second round and live rounds. A lot of contestants take part in the first round. When they pass the first two rounds, they are divided into groups and compete against each other to secure a place within the live final of the competition. After the final episode is broadcasted, the network provides the public with a set period to vote for their favourite performance. Those who get the highest votes will win the contest. Since it's on-air, America's Got Talent has helped to unearth new talent.
