Clickbait,một dạng quảng cáo sai,sử dụng văn bản siêu liên kết hoặc liên kết hình thu nhỏ được thiết kế để thu hút sự chú ý và để lôi kéo người dùng theo liên kết đó và đọc,xem hoặc nghe đoạn nội dung trực tuyến được liên kết,với đặc điểm xác định là lừa dối, điển hình là gây hiểu lầm .

Clickbait được hiểu đơn giản là “mồi nhấp chuột”. Clickbait có thể là tiêu đề thu hút hay lời kêu gọi click vào hình ảnh/liên kết. Nó được tạo ra để kêu gọi hành động của người xem click hay làm theo ý của tác giả. Các Clickbait thành công sẽ tạo ra một lượng traffic, hay các click được trả tiền
