The major problem with merely increasing life expectancy is that it also increases morbidity simply because people live long enough to get more age-related disease, disability, dementia and dysfunction.
In fact, old age brings with it a series of health problems that reduce the quality of life. The more joy, less suffering, the better human life. 100 years is still better than 80 years, as long as the additional 20 years bring more happiness than suffering. What gives life meaning are the "absolute desires" that shape themselves, like writing a novel, raising children, or starting a charity. If we live long enough to fulfill all our absolute desires, we will lose the key to happiness. People will then have to face a series of boring days or have to change their basic desires as well as themselves. After all, old age is not easy. In the face of an aging global population, humanity needs to find ways to take care of the elderly to not only reduce the burden but also ensure the quality of life. In general, do what you want (but don't commit any crime =)) to be satisfied with your life !!!
