Because plastic isn’t biodegradable it won’t decompose naturally, so all the plastic that we have now in the world will exist forever. That means we’ll need to clean up the oceans if we want to protect our sea creatures. Better still, if we don’t use so much plastic, it won’t end up in the ocean!
