The Mid-Autumn festival is one of the two traditional festivals in Vietnam, besides Tet Holiday. It is always held in August every year and this is a traditional celebration for Vietnamese children. On this day, the moon is said to be the roundest and brightest. Parents prepare for their children a variety of sweets, fruits, cookies and especially indispensable in the festival are moon cakes. Moon cakes, which are made from flour, salted eggs, meat, lye water, beans,... are so delicious and tasty. In addition, the children are provided with many star lanterns, lovey masks to perform lion dances and sing songs together under the full moon.
