English class is my favorite subject and also the subject that I am good at, so many friends ask me how to study properly. There is no one method of learning English that is most suitable, but each person must find a suitable method to learn effectively. I discovered the secret to learning it on my own, and I have made great progress since then. One of my hobbies is reading, and I choose to read English books to improve both my vocabulary and grammar. I read about British and American history, culture, novels by great authors, and news in English, all of which help me gain a large amount of new words and general knowledge. Besides, I never lose interest in learning English because I know how to combine study and entertainment. Instead of memorizing boring vocabulary, I listen to music, watch movies in English, translate lyrics and subtitles. That way, I know more about the differences and similarities between English and Vietnamese, and it helps me to use English correctly in each particular situation. I also connect with a few international friends and they are the best teachers in teaching me English. I was able to learn some slang, idioms and things that normal teachers don't teach their students. Besides, my speaking confidence has also increased since I spent time talking on the phone with them. I feel like I have made more positive changes since having my own way of learning English, and that's why I think each of us should be creative in learning it.

Hobby is one of the most important things we should have in our life. Of all hobbies in the world, I like listening to music the most. I enjoy music and I listen to it every single day. I started this hobby when I was 8. There are various kinds of music such as Pop, Folk music, Hip hop, … for you to choose and enjoy. If I’m in good mood, I prefer to listen to some rock music that keep me happy and full of energy. If I’m sad or tired, I choose some calm, relaxing songs. Music can speak, through music, people can express feelings and emotions. Each song has it own message. My favourite songs is “A thousand years” written by Christina Perri. It’s from “Twilight” – a famous movie about the relationship between human teenager and vampire. There are also a lot of bands in US, UK, Japan, Korea, … such as One Direction, Fifth Harmony, Westlife, … and a lot of singers. They wrote their songs through their experience and by their heart. Most of the time, I love listening to music to relax my body. Music can make the world smaller.
